152 days

I drove past the United Methodist Church in Palo Alto today. They have a banner up, and since I read church signs, I read it as I drove by. White letters on a black background said Torture is Wrong. Since when does this need saying out loud? Torture is wrong. Breaking the law is a crime. The One Hundred and Fifty-Two days until Bush is out of office cannot pass quickly enough.

Amen to that.

Torture is wrong.

Yeah, I wonder if anyone mentioned that when Job was having his bad day.....

The church sign that is annoying me the most at the moment is one I pass every day stating: "God is our revenge and strength."

What the heck kind of message is that?

152 and counting!

I suspect it's message reminding them that vengeance is not theirs to take, but best left to G-d. I wish people would have the good sense to ask someone from outside their group about their slogans.

I'm still waiting for either candidate, be it the one for change from Bush or the one who was actually tortured, to stand up and say out loud that torture is wrong and the US won't be having any of that sh*t during his administration.

Having Bush gone will be good, but if McCain wins it won't be much different.

Would be more courageous to have a sign which says "Redefining torture to fit your own ends is wrong."
