people at table, from 1350-1600

GM and I are still trying to document how medieval people got food from plate to mouth. I've found three period paintings that actually show what might be pieces of food held in the hand. One of them is Grimani Breviary: The Month of January. If  any of ya'll have pictures of people with food in their hands, or even on their spoons, can you let me know where to find them?

There's the bean eater, of course, but it's 1580s which is probably a little later than what you're looking for (will help for 2013, though). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Annibale_Carracci_The_Beaneater.jpg

In the Prato Haggadah on approx. page 37 there is a group of people sitting at a table. I didn't see any food in their hands, so I'm not sure if this helps any.

I'll look in some of my other sources. Do you need this for tomorrow's class?

I think I found the picture. The one with the red hat on the far right? Looks like she's holding a cup, as is the opposite figure in gray. It's hard to tell, but I don't think anyone has food in their hands. The woman in pink is carving(!), and the children are just smudgy.

No, this is for a class GM and I are thinking about teaching in the spring.

Bertolini (? Or am I confusing with the pasta) has a picture of kitchen implements, and I can't remember if he includes eating gadgets as well. I'll do some looking around for you.
