Das Boot III, resurrection


Today is the three month anniversary of my Jones Fracture. I saw "Dr Speedy" for new x-rays today. My 5th metatarsal is still healing up nicely. I'm out of the cast and looking forward to taking a shower. The skin on my left foot is as smooth as a baby's. I suspect I'm in for some blisters and pain after I'm cleared to go hiking. I'm allowed to garden and use the elliptical machines (or the bikes) at the gym. I'm NOT allowed to run or walk for exercise, jump, wear high heels or stand on my toes. No Italian or French dance for a while, I guess. That's ok, Becca suggested we try to create a mashup of some Playford's English Country dances for the Dance Ball, so maybe I'll work on that.
Hopefully I'll be cleared for all activities after my last appointment, six weeks from now.
