You can give all the helpful diagrams in the world to the site owners but odds are greater then 50% you won't get what you want when you walk in Saturday morning. But the good news is the janitor is usually less crazy than the owner.
Sometimes, when you plan for 60, based on the numbers for the past three years, you'll get 120 (even in bad weather!).
Important lessons:
If you want your event to be on time, make sure the heralds are on your side. Fear or bribery, they both work. If you want your classes to be on time, make sure they start on time, and if there's no clock in the hall, give the instructors 10-minute warnings.

When a pretty girl shows up to run gate, check with your exchequer and just say yes.
Plans might go to hell in a handbasket, but the event can still be fabulous. When teling a story, the key to a happy ending is knowing when to stop.

Crosston Ball was definitely a faboo event. I had an absolute blast, and so did my new guests. Even Aidan had fun for the amount of time he stayed.

I was surprised (pleasantly) at how many people there were.

Yes, she said she did. It was Emiko Sasaki, she ran gate last year. Isabel, the current Crosston exchequer, said it was ok!

Jessie and I had a lot of fun! (I hope we didn't cause any problems with the site.)

I didn't actually expect to be able to bring her on site, and was just planning on leaving her in the car and only being on site for 1/2 an hour or so. Because I was able to bring her on site we ended up staying for several hours, and Jessie had the chance to snuggle and get petting from 2/3 of the people on site. She was very happy to get so much loving!

No problems that I know of! :)
Jessie seemed like a very good dog. I just loved the all-nose picture G posted in her journal. But one thing you might try; my mom trained her dog to drink from a water bottle. You put the botle at the corner of the dog's mouth. I'm sure with a little googling you can find actual instructions on the best way to do it.
