I'd definitely be fine with it if the head still had its feathers on. A plucked chicken head might be too...skull-like?

However, I realize that the feathers are probably not food-safe, so this may not be an option.

I suppose if someone had a steamer, they could steam the feathers, which would kill any mites and so on....

Or an autoclave (any practicing chemists available?). Or even a microwave, maybe.

In my imagination, I was picturing naked chickens fully roasted. I suppose the heads might be rather skull like. I think I should defer any decisions until I can get a full chicken and see how roasting it goes.
