It was a great game, right up until the end. ::sniff:: I'd been so hoping Garnett would get his championship ring at last. Stupid Lakers.

On another topic altogether....
Thanks, everybody for your good thoughts on Grandma. She got the pacemaker implanted today (I hope, mom hasn't called yet so "no news is good news") and the hip surgery should be monday, I think. The nurses can only talk to mom, so I'm not quite sure when things are happening.
I'll be at Crown on Saturday for the Crosston Auction. Please come spend money!

While I hesitate to term pacemaker procedures "routine," my Dad's had one for two years now and he's doing great. If anything, we can't slow him down. (I'm waiting for postcards from Rome and London any week now....)

My mother in law got a pacemaker last year, and seem fine with it so far. I think it's a much less invasive surgery than it used to be.
I'm glad to hear your dad is up and about. I'm sure my grandmother would be much happier if she had a hobby.
