I got a new cast yesterday. The previous one had become too loose and was hurting. My foot is still slightly swollen and the bruises are amazing shades of yellow, green and purple, but the casting technician said that was normal. This cast will stay on until 13Aug10, 30 days from now (not counting today). The new one is less horrible than the last one, but it's still like wearing a poorly fitted corset.
It's amazing how quickly I've learned to consider everything from the point of view of "Can I live without this until August?". I've also quickly adapted into optimizing all needed shopping by considering which shop has the flattest parking area. I've always known being handicapped sucks, but it's also exhausting. I should have tried to get short-term disability leave from work.

We're pretty stocked up on food...but
Are you bendy enough to help weed the garden for a bit? Matt's been watering, but he's on meds that say he should not be in the sunshine.

I don't know. It's not like my job is all that onerous, I'm just really tired.

Yes, it's always disturbing to take twice as long to do everything that you usually do easily too.
